What’s New?

In this blog, we would like to share with you a little information at this time of year that you need to think about to help keep your house warm. Here are some tips to help you with that:

Make sure to change the filters in your furnace to keep it running and in good working order.  Also, you will be saving some energy!

Caulk around your windows and doors. You can do yourself, or if you’d like to give us a call, we can come out and do it for you.

If you have a drafty window, but cannot afford to replace it at this time, go to your local hardware store and get a plastic window kit.  There are some great kits that are very easy to install.  Install it right over that drafty window.

Another thing you may want to think about is cleaning out your gutters. This is very important because if your gutters are not working properly, rain water or melting snow can overflow and cause you some serious problems with your foundation. The water soaks into the ground around your foundation. Then guess what? it gets cold and freezes causing cracks in your basement walls or foundation. When water freezes, it expands and lifts, and pushes and puts stress on your foundation and walls.

Just a bit of advice to save you a few bucks, and some big problems later!
Make sure to keep up with What’s News. Have a great day!!
